Dr. Chad Carlson 亚洲色吧03 probably never envisioned that he could parlay his passion for sports into a completely new minor at Hope that will challenge students to examine the role of sport in society in an entirely different way: through a liberal arts perspective.

Being More of Who We Already Are

Hope will enhance its emphasis on character development with a grant received through the Educating Character Initiative of Wake Forest University亚洲色吧檚 Program for Leadership and Character. The college will focus on the virtues of gratitude and generosity, using the grant to help scale up a foundational programmatic component of Hope Forward.

Some Building Blocks of Literacy Lie Outside the School Walls

Dr. Deborah Van Duinen亚洲色吧檚 new book, 亚洲色吧淲idening the Lens: Integrating Multiple Approaches to Support Adolescent Literacy,亚洲色吧 cowritten with Dr. Erica R. Hamilton of Grand Valley State University, argues that there亚洲色吧檚 a need to widen the lens through which parents, teachers and others view adolescents and their literacy.

Hope College Honored for Diversity Excellence Third Year in a Row

Hope College has received the Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award for the third year in a row from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in higher education.

    Hope College senior Noel Vanderbilt of Saugatuck is one of only three undergraduate students nationwide to receive a Hatfield Prize for 2025 from the Center for Public Justice to conduct an independent research project through the end of the spring semester.

    The Registrar亚洲色吧檚 Office is pleased to announce Dean亚洲色吧檚 List recipients for the fall semester. The Dean亚洲色吧檚 List is awarded to full-time, degree-seeking students who have received grades for all courses in a given semester (no incompletes) and have a semester GPA of 3.50 or above. Hope College Registrar亚洲色吧檚 Office considers this a significant achievement.

    The third annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration and Leadership Summit at Hope College will explore the theme 亚洲色吧淢ission Possible: Protecting Freedom, Justice and Democracy in the Spirit of Nonviolence365亚洲色吧 through multiple sessions on Monday, Jan. 20, at the college亚洲色吧檚 Haworth Hotel.
