Group Help/Study Opportunities
Heard the saying, ɫɜTwo heads are better than oneɫɝ? Find out for yourself. Work with your peers in one of many ASC- and department-sponsored group help/study sessions.
In a relaxed environment, these student-led, question and answer sessions provide
you with encouragement and support while permitting you to come and go as needed.
Remember, all ASC services are free!
ASC Accountability Groups
Would you benefit from a scheduled weekly study session? Would it be helpful to sit with others who are doing their own studying at the same time? Accountability groups offer a specific time block of 1.5 hours to meet with a peer coach and 3ɫɓ5 students to study, try different strategies and find community.
Accountability groups meet at the same time and place every week with the same group of students. Each session the peer coach will have you fill out a goal card for the study block. If needed, they can assist in setting a realistic goal and introduce you to different techniques for effective studying. You will spend the session working toward your personal goal, then reflect on your progress at the close of the session. The group will continue for the semester.
Accountability groups will help you achieve goals and develop behaviors, habits and strategies for college success and life. Our trained staff of Peer Academic Coaches (PACs) are students just like you who want you to feel more confident and empowered.
Departmental Group Study Sessions
Please check with individual departments for up-to-date drop-in group help/study session offerings. Additional information will be available shortly after the start of each semester.
