The Van Raalte Press was founded by Jacob E. Nyenhuis in 2007. With our subsequent
partnering with Eerdmans on many projects and the introduction of the Missionary Memoirs
Series in 2021, we have published dozens of fully researched books, biographies and
monographs.
The most recent Van Raalte Press publications include Robert P. Swierenga, A. C. Van Raalte: Pastor by Vocation, Entrepreneur by Necessity (2023); Janet Sjaarda Sheeres, Present, but Not Counted: Dutch-Immigrant and Second Generation Midwives Working in Dutch Colonies in the United States, 1840 - 1940 (2025); and Vision, Conflict, and Controversy: H. P. Scholte, Founder of Pella, Iowa, ed. George Harinck, Donald J. Bruggink, and Lori Witt (2025).
